  • Ayurvedic Nutrition: Food as Medicine

    A 6-Week Online Training Series

In a time of endless diet trends and conflicting food advice, many people feel temporarily better — only to find their symptoms returning weeks or months later.

One expert recommends more protein. Another insists on plant-based eating. Others promote intermittent fasting, keto, low-fat, high-fat, superfoods, and supplements.

The confusion is exhausting. Ayurveda offers a different holistic approach.

Rather than chasing trends or treating symptoms, Ayurveda teaches timeless and universal principles that address the root cause of imbalance. It recognizes that what nourishes one person may disturb another. There is no one diet for everyone.

Most modern nutrition advice treats people as identical. It overlooks your unique constitution, your digestive strength, your current state of imbalance, and the subtle ways food interacts with your body, mind, and environment.

This training will also bring clarity to a common misunderstanding in modern Ayurveda — that you must “eat for your dosha” in a fixed way for the rest of your life. You will learn why that is incomplete, and how to apply Ayurvedic wisdom dynamically and intelligently.

This is not a food list. This is a system.

    Who This Training Is For

    This course is designed for:

    • Beginners who want to understand how to truly use food as medicine.

    • Ayurveda students and health coaches who wish to deepen their knowledge of classical Ayurvedic nutrition.

    • Yoga teachers and yoga therapists who want to meaningfully integrate Ayurveda — yoga’s sister science — into their work.

    • Wellness practitioners seeking a structured, traditional framework to support clients holistically.

    • Anyone who is tired of food confusion and wants a reliable, time-tested system they can apply for life.

    Rooted in the Classical Texts

Our study draws from the foundational Ayurvedic scriptures:

    • Caraka Samhita

    • Ashtanga Hridayam

    • Bhavaprakasha

These texts do not provide rigid food charts or universal rules. Instead, they teach a sophisticated method to evaluate any food, for any person, in any season or condition.

You will learn to see beyond calories and macronutrients and understand:

    • Why the same food can heal one person and aggravate another

    • How digestive fire (Agni) shifts throughout the day, seasons, and stages of life

    • How specific qualities in food either balance or disturb your current state

    • How cooking methods, spices, and preparation techniques transform a food’s effect

    • How to modify meals intelligently instead of eliminating foods unnecessarily

    What You Will Gain

Bridge Ancient Wisdom with Modern Nutrition Science

Understand how Ayurvedic principles relate to:

    • The gut-brain axis

    • The microbiome

    • Neurotransmitters

    • Inflammation research

You will also learn how to interpret modern trends — such as intermittent fasting, bullet coffee, turmeric shots, and superfood powders — through an Ayurvedic lens.

    End Personal Food Confusion

Discover how to eat according to your current state, not rigid labels. Learn why the same food may support you one month and disturb you the next — and how to adapt intelligently.

Transform Your Kitchen into a Healing Space

Every Sanskrit principle will be translated into practical application, including:

    • Sample menus

    • Spice combinations

    • Cooking techniques

    • Grocery guidance

    • Seasonal adjustments

    • Meal preparation strategies

You will leave confident in your ability to step into any kitchen and make nourishing, balanced choices.
